Sick little guy.....

Well, Monday Alex started with some nasal congestion. I attributed it to a cold. Come Wednesday, he had a cough in the morning when I woke him up. I took him to Nana Dianne's told her I thought he had a pretty bad cold and she said she would keep me updated during the day through text messages as we usually do. She sent me a text early during my shift saying she had to give him a good whack on his back while he was over her knees because he was gagging and choking on mucous and it would probably be a good idea to get him checked out before the weekend came. So....off to the Dr. office we went. We saw Dr. Chang and she diagnosed little man with Bronchiolitis, which is in the family of RSV; a respiratory virus. It's very common this time of the year with babies. Alex had an Albuterol nebulizer breathing treatment while we were there. She came back in and listened to his lungs and noticed a big difference. We were sent home with the equipment to continue to do the breathing treatments every 4 hours as needed. Today, I am off so I am home with him. His cough is just heartwrenching. Every time he coughs I cringe. It's so sad. He's still smiling and happy, just sleeping more than usual. Hopefully this bug will make it's way outta his little body and I will have my healthy baby boy back!

Aren't I adorable? I think I could be a Gap Model....don't you? My mommy dresses me up in all these silly outfits. But I do think I'm a cutie!

New Buddies

Today Alex and I went to see Dave, Melissa and Chase. While we were there, Colleen and Zach stopped over. It was so funny to see the different sizes of the boys. Zachary is 5 months; Alex 3 months; Chase 4 days. It's going to be so much fun when they can all play together!

Oh Thank God!!!!!!

I'm sure as most you know, my husband is a die hard Steelers fan. All I have to say is, THANK GOD they won. I told Dianne (a.k.a. Nana Dianne who watches Alex) that if she hears a knock on the door it's Alex and I coming to move in! Luckily they won so we can stay at our house. LOL. There is a new rule though; Rob is not allowed to hold Alex during any Steeler's games. I thought he was going to spike him when they made a big play. :) So anywho, we are really excited now for Superbowl. I even jumped on the bandwagon and bought a jersey. As you can see below, Alex has his own Steelers outfits. Angela bought him this particular outfit when he was still in my tummy. Leslie sent him a box of goodies with Steelers outfits and Red Sox stuff too! That's right around the corner; Baseball I look forward to. I understand the game, played softball for 8 years, I get it! Football is weird in my opinion. All kinds of penalties and what have you....I have too many other things to remember than how to remember the rules! But I am sure my son will just love football like his Daddy and I will be surrounded by football madness for the rest of my life.

Alex has a new friend!!!

Dave and Melissa Brown had a baby boy on Friday, 1/16/09. Chase David Brown was born at 6:48 a.m. weighting 8 lb 9oz and was 20.5 ". He is just adorable with all his hair. Definitely looks just like his Daddy. Here a few pictures from when Rob and I went to visit the new addition in the hospital. (Of course you know I just can't wait to have another! Rob......I think he's scared!)

Brrrrrr.

Well since it's negative amillion outside, Alex and I are hibernating. I bet he thinks I got rid of my truck. He is not used to not being on the go! We are reading, playing in the jumperoo, talking gagagagaga, anything to stay warm. I can't wait until this time next year when he is running around and hopefully we will get some snow and he can experience a real winter. This cold stuff stinks without the snow! So, stay indoors. Have some hot chocolate....and just think Spring is on it's way!

Just a few more....

I can't help but take photos of this child whenever the opportunity arises! He is very photogenic (probably because he has no choice being my child!). Just a few more pics since he is oh so adorable!
Look lady...I'm sitting...whew...big deal

Ha! this lady thinks I'm smiling but I'm really laughing at what a weirdo she is!

Can't you see I'm starving? I am eating my toys...get me a bottle pronto

Ok..ok.....I'll loot right at that circle thing if you get me a bottle afterwards....

Little Jumping Jonesy

For Christmas we got Alex the fisherprice jumperoo. The first time we put him in, his toes didn't touch the floor so I put a pillow under. Then it was too high. Then we put a blanket under and it was just perfect. He started to get the hang of it, sorta. He was moreless swinging in it, not so much jumping. Once he figured that the more he moved the more it made noise, he is a maniac in this thing now! He has started to really grasp things and reach for them. He loves this thing and still needs to grow a little more, then he will really love it. I can't wait to see him jumping all over the place. He is still just a tad short for it.

Enjoy!!!

Growing ever so fast

Today Alex is 3 months old. I can hardly believe it. It is so strange because in one aspect I feel like he's been around for so long, then I feel like I was just at the hospital. This day 3 months ago was one of the best days of our lives. The love and joy that was felt is so amazing. I look back now at him when he was born, when he was 2 months, and today and I cannot believe how much he has grown and advanced. See for yourself!

Cereal Time!

Alex tried rice cereal for the first time today at NaNa Dianne's. As you can tell, he obviously enjoyed it. The real test is Mommy and Daddy attempting it this weekend! He is eating so much! I cannot wait to get this kid on baby food. I am so excited to see all the silly little faces he will be making. I am also excited to buy less formula :)

Welcome!

I decided to create this blog so everyone could try to "keep up with the Joneses". I didn't want you to miss out on things that are going on with Alex. I hope you enjoy updates and seeing him grow!

We love you!
